Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a beautiful property and unique experiences, but my stay was marred by issues with cleanliness and service. While the Temazcal ceremony was remarkable and the location felt safe and charming, the setbacks and dining quality left much to be desired. Additionally, unexpected charges for Wi-Fi and unreliable transportation marred the experience significantly.
Our stay was a mix of highs and lows. The resort is beautifully maintained with great pools, but we faced issues with our room's air conditioning and maintenance. Dining options varied, with several restaurants not open every night, which limited our choices. The staff was helpful, but we had a frustrating experience during the owner's update presentation.
My family and I had a mix of experiences during our stay. On one hand, the staff was lovely and took good care of us, making us feel welcome. However, service could be slow, especially with room service and dining options. The rooms were spacious but showed some wear, and while the pools were nice, the beach area could use better maintenance.
Our stay at Marina El Cid was truly wonderful! The staff's dedication and warmth made our experience feel personal and special. We loved the beautiful landscaping and the various snorkeling opportunities, although the rocky beach was a bit challenging at times. The food was excellent, but we did notice some limited options for certain meals. Overall, the value for what we experienced was fantastic.
Our trip to El Cid Marina was quite different from what we expected. The grounds were beautiful and the food was excellent. However, the rooms on the Marina side were a bit outdated, and the atmosphere was very quiet, which might not suit younger travelers looking for nightlife. The Platinum Club had its perks, but we faced some hiccups during our stay that affected our experience.
I had a wonderful time at El Cid! The resort was very family-friendly, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. While we had some mixed experiences with the dining options, the beach and pool areas were lovely. However, it wasn't the best fit for younger couples looking for a lively atmosphere, as it felt quite subdued in the evenings.
I had a wonderful week at this resort, enjoying the beautiful oceanfront view from my upgraded room. Although I was thrilled with the food quality, I found the dinner reservation system a bit frustrating. The beach had a rocky entrance, which made swimming difficult, but the pools were great for relaxing. Overall, the value for the price was excellent, especially considering the premium liquors included.
We had a fantastic time at the resort, enjoying spacious and clean rooms along with a great selection of dining options. The beach area, while beautiful, had some rocky spots which made swimming a bit challenging, but the attentive staff made up for it. Service was prompt, especially considering a couple of issues we faced with the rooms. Overall, the stay was enjoyable and affordable, but improvements could be made regarding the room condition and better communication upon arrival.
I had a really disappointing experience at this hotel. The location was terrible, and there were significant issues with the service, including room problems and poor communication about my relatives who couldn't join us. On the other hand, the facilities were nice, and the crew at the catamaran and dolphin show was amazing. Overall, I can't recommend this place based on my experience.
I had a great time at Marina El Cid! The staff were genuinely helpful, and the accommodations were nice, especially being close to the beach and pool. However, the beach could be improved since there was quite a bit of seaweed and rough spots in the water. Overall, it was a fantastic family getaway, though a little attention to the beach would make it perfect.
